Why doesn't my camera have Smart Tracking?

Question:

I was informed the camera I purchased would have Smart Tracking and it doesn't. Why?

Answer:

Smart Tracking was removed from certain models of camera for hardware reasons. This includes the E7 platform DS-2DE4A25IW-DE, firmware version v5.7.3 Build 220315. If you have a different camera, please ensure it has Smart Tracking advertised on the datasheet and is up to date on firmware.
