How do I connect a Hikvision Encoder to a Hikvision NVR?
Answer:
To connect an Encoder first:
- Make sure the Encoder and NVR are both in the same network
- Take note of the encoders IP
- Log into the NVR web interface and go to Configuration>System>Camera management
- Change D1 from plug-and-play to manual and use the Encoders IP and username and password
- Change D2 from plug-and-play to manual and use the Encoders IP but also change the Channel number from 1 to 2 and type in the Encoders username and password
- Repeat the steps and change the the Channel number until you have all the Encoders cameras connected
