What do I do after I install a new hard drive?
Answer:
After installing the hard drive into the recorder, power it on. During the boot process the unit should ask to 'initialize' the drive, select yes/ok to begin initialization. If the unit does not automatically start the initialization process open the main menu and go to: Storage/HDD > Storage Devices >find the new drive with the status 'uninitialized.' Select the check box next to the next to the drive and press the format/initialize button on the screen. After the process is complete the drive is good to use with a 'Normal' status.
