The exposure setting on cameras refers to the amount of time the iris will stay open and is exposed to light. On the camera's menu under the 'Image' setting is where the exposure settings are located. The lower the numerator is the more light will be exposed to the Iris. The exposure setting should be modified if the picture or view is typically to dark at night to see anything.
