Question:
How do I export video from my Hikvision recorder or camera using IVMS-4200?
Answer:
- Create a folder in the root of the "C:\" drive called "IVMS-4200".
- Launch the IVMS-4200 and on the home screen click on"System Configuration".
- In system configuration, click on "File".
- Set the save pathe to be "C:\iVMS-4200" and click the "Save" button.
- Click the "Home" button in the upper left.
- On the home screen, click "Remote Playback".
- In remote playback left-click & hold on a camera and drag it out to one of the playback divisions.
- Click the "Download for Multiple Cameras" button.
- In the "Download for Multiple Cameras" box, put a checkmark for each of the cameras you want to download the videom from.
- Set the start date and time, then click "Ok".
- Set the end date and time, then click "Ok".
- Uncheck the "Download Player" box.
- Click the download "Download" button.
Your video will be save to the "C:\IVMS-4200" to a sub-folder with the time stamp as the folder name.
It is recommended to download the VSPlayer to play back the exported video, as video exported from Hikvision device is encrypted for security reasons. The VSPlayer you get from the Hikvision website does have the ability to convert the exported video so that Windows media player of Apple Quicktime can play the converted video back.
